How We Rate
This page explains how we gather and check the information on this site. The same method applies to every page, so you can see where a figure comes from and how much weight to give it.
Where the information comes from
We work from primary sources published by the operator. These are the casino's own website, its bonus terms, the general terms and conditions, the payment pages and the licence register of the regulator named by the operator.
We do not treat a forum post or a third-party summary as proof of a rule. If a detail cannot be found in one of these sources, we say it is unconfirmed or leave it out.
- Operator's website and promotional pages
- Bonus terms and conditions
- General terms and conditions
- Payment and withdrawal pages
- Licence register of the named regulator
What we check and why it matters in GB
Each area below is checked because it changes what a player actually gets, or what risks they take on.
We note which licence the operator holds and who is named as the operator. This matters in Great Britain because a licence outside the UK means different player protections from a UK Gambling Commission licence. We also read the list of restricted countries, since availability to UK players is something you should confirm before registering. Our legitimacy page applies this check to one casino.
We look at the bonus size, wagering requirement, minimum deposit, maximum bet, expiry and any cashback or reload terms. A large headline percentage can be worth little once the wagering and bet limits are applied. Details for one operator are on the bonus page.
We list deposit and withdrawal methods, minimum and maximum amounts, and the currencies used. We pay close attention to withdrawal caps, because they decide how quickly a large win can reach your account. See the withdrawal page for an example.
We check the game range, the named software providers, whether live dealer tables and a sportsbook exist, and which support channels and languages are offered. We also look for responsible gambling tools, such as age warnings and links to support organisations like BeGambleAware and GamCare.
How we handle conflicting information
Operators often state the same rule differently in different places. A welcome page may give one wagering figure while the homepage gives another, or the terms may set a different maximum bet.
When sources disagree, we do not pick the figure that looks best. We give the more cautious reading, state that the sources differ, and name where each figure appears. Where the disagreement is large, we avoid quoting an exact number at all and tell you to confirm it in the current terms before you deposit.
How often pages are re-checked
Casino terms change without notice, so no page here should be read as permanent. We re-check pages against the operator's sources on a regular basis and update them when a source changes.
If you spot a difference between our page and the operator's current terms, the operator's terms take precedence. Please use them as the final reference.
What we do not do
- We do not accept payment to change, soften or remove a fact.
- We do not invent figures, test results or quotes that we cannot source.
- We do not present a bonus as risk-free or suggest gambling is a way to make money.
- We do not claim that a casino is suitable for every player.
Gambling is for adults aged 18 or over and carries a risk of loss. If it stops being enjoyable, GamCare and BeGambleAware offer free, confidential help.
